If you are a tuna lover, like me, you might want to consider eating it less often so that you can afford to buy the best. Tuna is now so ubiquitous in salads, sandwiches and sushi, that it’s easy to go way over the mercury safety levels. When I buy canned tuna, I save up and buy the Wild Planet tuna, not only because it’s higher in Omega’s and lower in Mercury, but because it’s so delicious. Honestly – open a can of this tuna and it doesn’t even smell fishy – it’s the best canned tuna I’ve ever tasted – yes, it does cost more, but I’d rather have it just once in a while for a treat.
